Gotham is being controlled by mob boss Carl Grissom, and met with greater fears with a corrupt police department - Millionaire  Bruce Wayne starts his legacy as the shadowy vigilante known as Batman - Journalists Alexander Knox and Vicky Vale investigate this strange hero.  Vale eventually falls in love with Bruce. The situation becomes worse when Jack Napier, former right hand man of Grissom, transforms into the Joker. Bruce Wayne must confront tragic moments from the past as the homicidal maniac starts his evil crusade against the people of Gotham.
